Past Event

On November 4, 2004 AKAM held its second annual Free Preventive Medicine Seminar in Flushing, NY (YMCA assembly hall). The purpose of the event was to inform the Korean community of preventative measures for certain common ailments as well as the necessary treatments. We are proud to announce that the seminar was a success, as around 100 people
attended. The three main focuses were:

1) How To Prevent a Heart Attack - Chong Park, M.D.
2) Early Detection of Bladder Cancer and its Treatment - John Won, M.D.
3) Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment - Yong H. Kim, M.D.
